CDRI Compendium on Disaster Resilient Infrastructures

The Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) launched a compendium of good practices on disaster resilient infrastructure at the G20 Brasil 2024 Disaster Risk Reduction working group meeting in Brasil. Including several urban examples such as the Cities Challenge or the eThekwini Municipality – Transformative Riverine Management Programme from CFF handed in by us from the Cities Group.

The compendium, with in total 52 case studies from diverse regions and contexts, outlines best practices, policies, and innovations that fortify the resilience of infrastructure. It lays out the significance of prioritizing disaster resilience across physical and social infrastructures systems to reduce climate and disaster related losses and vulnerability.
