Results of a gender transformative approach in Brazilian urban peripheries
A presentation of the “Black Women for Climate Resilience” results (an initiative of the Brazil-Germany technical cooperation, implemented by GIZ in Brazil). The mentoring was developed to bring Brazil’s Secretariat of Peripheries and the German Government closer to the lives of women in urban peripheries, vulnerable to climate change. The panel will address the questions on “How to strengthen the climate resilience and sustainable solutions for peripheral communities through local actions?” and “How to promote transformative approaches in vulnerable urban areas through black women’s leadership?”
