DESCRIPTION:The Park Activation Coordination (PAC) Programme is an innovative\, community focused approach to initiating\, coordinating and managing activities in public parks as part of promoting inclusion\, vibrancy and safety. \nThe PAC programme was first piloted in 2018 and 2019 in City of Joburg and eThekwini Municipality\, with great success. The second phase of the PAC (2024) seeks to upscale the intervention and institutionalise the approach as an all-of society model to designing\, developing and managing accessible and sustainable public parks.
