To mitigate climate change effectively, it is essential for the infrastructure sector to significantly reduce its carbon footprint. At the same time cities are more vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. But infrastructure is also highly complex with significant corruption risks. With their new climate infrastructure dataset, CoST and GIZ aim to make the construction sector more transparent. This session will present the new standard and share initial learnings for corruption prevention in urbanisation from partner countries.
This event is GIZ-internal. GIZ-colleagues can register via mirjam.marquard@giz.de
