The 25th International Walk21 Conference on Walking and Liveable Communities is taking place in Tirana, October 6 – 10 2025. The conference is hosted by the Municipality of Tirana, in partnership with GIZ and Walk21 Foundation.
The International Walk21 Conference is a great opportunity for students and faculty to network and learn about best practices in urban planning and design. Therefore, we would kindly ask you share the call for registration with students, faculty, and alums of the Architecture Department.
This year’s conference will bring together around 500 delegates from more than 54 countries. Participants will include mayors, ministry representatives, UN agencies, and other international cooperation stakeholders.
Over the week, practitioners, policymakers, and academics from sectors such as road safety, climate, economic development, gender equality, tourism, culture, and urbanism will exchange expertise on public space redesign, people-centered cities and walking policies.
