Urban Development Fund (UDF) through Capacity Building through Urban Infrastructure Development (CBUID) and Connective Cities sector programme, is creating a heat vulnerability map for Aswan governorate to identify the most affected zones by climate change.
The proposed event is a 3-day hackathon that focuses on one of these zones, where Aswan University students will develop practical climate change adaptation solutions to enhance urban resilience and social inclusion. At the end of the event, a jury comprising local and national government officials, academics, and experts will evaluate the proposals and select the winning team. The Urban Development Fund (UDF) will consider the solutions for potential implementation.
