Innovative tools to address climate vulnerability and strengthen urban resilience
In this session the Wuppertal Institute and WRI Mexico will present a digital toolkit designed to support communities in addressing the climate vulnerability of their neighbourhoods, including a mobile app for collaborative mappings and surveys, a dashboard of results and a catalogue of sustainable urban solutions (SUS).
Furthermore, the panel will showcase the results of two pilot projects in vulnerable neighbourhoods in Mexican cities, demonstrating the feasibility of low-cost, inclusive and easily replicable low-carbon and resilient urban solutions.
The session will have a mix of workshop and presentation format, in which the use of the different tools (EcoZones app & dashboard, Sustainable Urban Solutions (SUS) catalogue and EcoZones guidelines) will be explained and the participants will learn on-site how to use them. In addition, the results of existing communities mapping using the tool will be shared with the audience.
