Cities Challenge: 2030 Agenda meets Urban Climate Action – How small-scale projects at local level can contribute to big-scale goals at global level

The ePaper documents the results and learning experiences of the Cities CHALLENGE, an ideas competition that showcases good examples of innovative urban solutions for climate-friendly, resilient, inclusive and sustainable neighbourhoods by bringing together different stakeholders. In four so called Urban Living Labs different interventions on community disaster risk reduction (Ecuador), urban greening (Jordan), settlement upgrading (Namibia) and food waste management (Serbia) were implemented in 2019/20. The Cities CHALLENGE 2.0 is currently running in Bangladesh, India, Mexico and South Africa.
