Data strategies for common good-oriented urban development

With the guidelines and recommendations for action on data governance, the National Dialogue Platform Smart Cities concretizes the German Smart City Charter published in 2017 and continues the strategy process for the development of common good-oriented smart cities in Germany. In addition to a value-oriented approach to data, the guidelines and recommendations for action also highlight access to and use of data and explain how data use for urban development can be made transparent, participatory and co-creative. The topics of data competencies and data cooperation, as well as the prerequisites for successful municipal value-added strategies, are also addressed in this publication.
