Each year, representatives from 40 countries take part in the Petersberg Climate Dialogue. This year, the 14th Petersberg Climate Dialogue will be held in Berlin and will be dedicated to the preparation of the COP28 Climate Change Conference in Dubai.
The G7 Summit is hosted by this year's Japanese G7 Presidency and will be held in Hiroshima, Japan.
Innovate4Climate (I4C) is the World Bank Group's annual global conference on climate finance, carbon markets and investment. In this years seventh edition, I4C 2023, the private and public sectors will gather in Barakaldo, Spain from 23 May to 25 May to discuss innovative climate solutions with a focus on markets, finance, policy and technology.
Cities Alliance and ECDPM will host the workshop "Empower a Woman With Water and She Can Change Her City" on 25 May to shed a light on the interconnectedness of gender-specific challenges and water scarcity and access in urban areas. Participants can join the event in-person in Brussels or online.
The annual World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) provides a space for business leaders, policymakers and experts to exchange knowledge and discuss solutions for circular economies. This year, WCEF will focus on the implementation of circular solutions and dive into the potential of circular economies to tackle complex issues like climate change and biodiversity loss. WCEF2023 will take place from 30 May to 2 June in Helsinki and online. It is organized by Nordic Innovation and the Finnish Innovation Fund Sitra in collaboration with international partners.
From 31 May to 2 June, practitioners and policy makers from more than 40 countries will gather at the Global NDC Conference 2023 in Berlin to discuss and share their experience in feasible and financeable NDCs and NDC implementation. The event is hosted by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and co-organised with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the NDC Partnership, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), under the International Climate Initiative (IKI).
