City Labs – Exploring the Potential of Urban Living Labs in Development Cooperation

Please join us for our joint one-hour session on Urban Labs. To start off, the results of the study on city labs by Wuppertal Institute and SV Stadt will be presented with insights on the definition, typologies and the role of urban labs in German Development Cooperation.

Following this presentation, we will delve into practical insights with two distinct sessions: The Liveable and Inclusive Cities for All (LICA) project will provide examples of the application of Urban (Living) Labs in 4 cities in Bangladesh and share lessons learnt in their implementation. Subsequently, the Cities CHALLENGE 2.0 ideas competition will share their experiences and outcomes, showcasing the effectiveness of urban labs in different country cases.

The event will conclude with a moderated discussion, offering attendees an opportunity to engage with our experts and seek clarification on relevant topics. Your participation will contribute to a more informed understanding of urban labs as a participative and sustainable tool for urban planning in international cooperation.
