WUF 12: Event

Digital City Science: Tools for Urban Resilience, Sustainability, and Inclusion

*Digital City Science* is a field in urbanism that supports urban development through data-driven tools for analysis, synthesis, and interaction. Based at HafenCity University, our team collaborates with international agencies and governments, such as GIZ and the UN, in over 100 cities globally, including Madrid, Taipei, and Vinnytsia. In a short presentation followed by a Digital Planning Playground, we will explore digital tools for planning including digital twins. The participants will be welcomed to join the conversation on the benefits and risks of digital planning.

The event will be divided into two formats:

  1. The first 10 minutes is a presentation from the speakers.
  2. A hybrid format Fishbowl called “Digital Planning Playground”: the participants could raise their input and are invited to express more elaborately their ideas and criticism.

Speakers:

  • Jennifer Jiang, MSc.
  • Hana Elattar, MSc.
